This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Procure materials and coordinate the acquisition of goods and services for project bidding and implementation.
• Solicit bids and evaluate vendor pricing and capabilities against budgetary constraints and project specifications.
• Negotiate vendor pricing when required.
• Present purchasing recommendations to project teams.
• Draft contracts for services.
• Offer specialized pricing and procurement assistance to detailing teams.
• Monitor quotes, escalations, vendor pricing, order confirmations, shipments, backorders, and replacement orders.
• Engage with manufacturer and wholesaler representatives while fostering relationships.
• Manage and update buying programs and price catalogs in Comsense.
• Communicate with vendors about pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
• Prepare purchase orders and special instructions for manufacturers.
• Confirm the accuracy of order acknowledgments and inform detailers.
• Coordinate activities among warehouse, logistics, detailers, and manufacturers to ensure timely order fulfillment and shipping.
• Address Contract Information Requests, shortages, and damaged goods issues with the warehouse.
• Organize return goods authorizations and call tags for incorrect or damaged materials.
• Quote and manage LTL shipments from warehouse/logistics to job sites.
• Verify product compatibility between manufacturers and series.
• Maintain stock-item inventory within Comsense.
• Locate templates and respond to general product inquiries or connect with manufacturer customer service/technical support.
• Execute Keying Summary Sheets in collaboration with detailers.
• Quote and procure non-contract miscellaneous materials on sales orders.
• Guide the project team through the purchasing process while managing medium-sized projects.
• Support in the development and mentoring of Level 1 employees; may oversee direct reports.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency in Doors, Frames, and Hardware software: Comsense, Protech Titan, Avaware, eMullion+TOAD.
• Intermediate understanding of Doors, Frames, and Hardware products, services, processes, and projects.
• Proficient in PDF editing software such as Bluebeam or Adobe.
• Capacity to navigate and manage risks, effectively communicating strategies to the team.
• Capability to lead assignments or special projects from inception to completion.
• Ability to make independent decisions based on the complexity of situations.
• Competence to work autonomously most of the time.
• Strong strategic, critical, and analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to establish and sustain relationships with key personnel and other departments.
• Support in the development and mentoring of Level 1 employees; may supervise direct reports.
• Excellent customer service skills, including ownership, follow-up, accountability, active listening, clarifying questions, and a positive attitude.
• Exempt FLSA status.
