This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement marketing strategies tailored to the U.S. Federal, State, Local, and Education (SLED) sectors to enhance pipeline growth, customer acquisition, and revenue, with additional support for Canadian Public Sector sales strategies.

• Act as the main marketing collaborator with Public Sector Sales leadership.

• Convert business goals and go-to-market tactics into focused, measurable marketing initiatives.

• Supply market insights and public sector-specific requirements to the Product Marketing, Content Marketing, Digital Marketing, Brand, and Campaigns & Events teams.

• Collaborate with Sales to evaluate pipeline performance, identify opportunities and gaps, and create initiatives that boost qualified leads, MQLs, and conversion rates.

• Oversee the planning, execution, and enhancement of Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns aimed at acquiring new customers and driving revenue growth within existing public sector accounts.

• Organize and execute both virtual and in-person events within the Federal and SLED markets.

• Tailor and implement enterprise marketing campaigns for Public Sector Sales teams and targeted accounts.

• Work alongside Content Marketing, Brand, and Sales to forge strategic alliances and elevate SANS’ visibility in the public sector cybersecurity space.

• Promote registration and awareness for customized marketing programs and events aimed at strategic public sector accounts.

• Assess, analyze, and report on campaign and event effectiveness, offering data-driven optimization suggestions.

• Assist with additional marketing projects and cross-functional initiatives as required.

• Carry out other related tasks as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a relevant field.

• Over 7 years of marketing experience, emphasizing field marketing, demand generation, account-based marketing (ABM), or sales enablement.

• Proven ability to develop, execute, and refine integrated marketing campaigns from strategy to implementation.

• Demonstrated creativity and quality execution in crafting targeted marketing initiatives that foster engagement and deliver measurable business outcomes.

• Experience working closely with U.S. Federal Sales teams to drive pipeline growth, customer acquisition, and revenue.

• Comprehensive understanding of the U.S. Federal procurement process, government purchasing cycles, and public sector buying requirements.

• Background in supporting go-to-market strategies for the U.S. Federal and/or State, Local, and Education (SLED) markets.

• Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and experience using CRM data to inform marketing initiatives and performance tracking.

• Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and digital marketing tools.

• Strong project management and organizational capabilities, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

• Robust analytical skills with the capacity to interpret marketing data, evaluate campaign performance, and provide actionable, data-driven recommendations.

• Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Proven ability to cultivate collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and influence business outcomes.

• Unrestricted eligibility to work in the USA; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Preferred: Experience in marketing cybersecurity, technology, SaaS, or professional education solutions to U.S. Federal agencies and/or SLED organizations.

• Preferred: Experience in developing and executing ABM strategies for public sector clients.

• Preferred: Familiarity with government contract vehicles, procurement channels, and public sector marketing best practices.

• Preferred: Demonstrated success in planning and executing executive briefings, government events, conferences, and industry trade shows.

• Preferred: An entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution.
