This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Expand Mallory's business with public safety and public sector agencies, utilizing the OMNIA Partners contract as the main tool.
• Establish new agency connections and enhance existing relationships across various departments.
• Facilitate the progression of quotes to finalized orders.
• Collaborate closely with the Public Safety customer service team, vendors, and the OMNIA Partners field team.
• Initiate outreach to new agencies and develop existing ones through outbound calls, emails, virtual meetings, and targeted campaigns.
• Present the OMNIA Partners contract, clarifying eligibility, competitive solicitation prerequisites, and account setup procedures.
• Expand presence across city or county departments, including police, fire, corrections, public works, utilities, parks, and emergency management.
• Address quote requests, RFQs, and informal bids, evaluating when it is advisable to pursue formal bids.
• Assist agencies in utilizing grant funding effectively by providing comprehensive quotes and documentation on time.
• Aggregate agency requirements from various manufacturers into a single contract and order.
• Organize samples, demonstrations, product training, and pricing assistance with manufacturer partners.
• Maintain records of accounts, contacts, opportunities, and next steps within Dynamics CRM.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, accurate pricing, sales reporting, and OMNIA administrative standards.
• Work in conjunction with OMNIA Partners field representatives and Mallory's external sales team.
• Remain updated on public safety products, procurement trends, funding programs, and competitor activities.
• Over 2 years of sales experience targeting government or public sector clients.
• Background in selling to law enforcement, fire/EMS, or other public safety agencies, or in the sale of safety/PPE products.
• Familiarity with public procurement processes, including RFQs, formal bids, purchase orders, sole source acquisitions, and agency funding mechanisms.
• Ability to handle high-volume outbound prospecting along with the associated rejections.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce quotes and emails that are prompt, accurate, and clear.
• Self-motivated to manage personal goals and daily responsibilities, including remote work.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficient in using a CRM and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with cooperative purchasing contracts, such as OMNIA Partners, Sourcewell, TIPS, NASPO ValuePoint, state contracts, and GSA.
• Knowledge of law enforcement, fire, or emergency response products and their end users.
• Understanding of government grant programs and the timelines for grant-driven purchases.
• Familiarity with bid portals and tools, including Bonfire, BidNet, OpenGov, SAM.gov, or GovSpend.
• Previous experience as a first responder, in public safety administration, or in government procurement.
• Knowledge of Mallory's product ranges, including fall protection and rescue gear, gas detection, respiratory and SCBA equipment, and duty gear.
