Psychologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide personalized therapy to clients and their families as needed.

• Act as a role model, mentor, advocate, and source of motivation for clients and families.

• Collaborate with the clinical team to address client needs in accordance with treatment plans.

• Assist clients in recognizing their personal interests, goals, strengths, and areas for improvement.

• Facilitate transitions from professional services to community-based services.

• Encourage self-advocacy and ensure that client needs, goals, and objectives are central to clinical services.

• Identify and facilitate connections to recovery, educational, vocational, social, cultural, spiritual, mutual self-help, and professional resources.

• Recognize obstacles to accessing community resources and develop strategies to address them.

• Complete documentation including session notes, group notes, treatment plans, utilization review reports, and discharge summaries.

• Attend staff meetings to provide clinical observations and recommendations regarding client care.

• Engage in weekly supervision with the clinical director.

• Offer clinical supervision to unlicensed master's level psychologists.

• Provide teletherapy services encompassing evaluation, assessment, consultation, treatment planning, case management, coaching, individual therapy, and group therapy.

• Deliver treatment that upholds client dignity, independence, individuality, strength, privacy, and choice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an AZDPS Fingerprint Clearance Card (preferred, must be obtained).

• Licensed under PSYPACT.

• A PhD is required.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in behavioral health and addictions (mandatory).

• Proficient knowledge and experience in counseling and case management for mental health and substance abuse clients.

• Capability to provide services through video conferencing/teletherapy.

• Familiarity with word processing, video conferencing, email, and spreadsheet software.

• Ability to prepare, implement, and analyze treatment plans and psychiatric reports.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Competence in planning and organizing case workload while managing deadlines.

• Commitment to maintaining ethical professional standards, confidentiality, client boundaries, and sensitive information.

• Proficiency in respecting cultural differences and diversity while protecting client rights.

• Knowledge of symptoms related to mental disorders, personality disorders, and substance abuse.

• Understanding of commonly prescribed medications, their side effects, and potential adverse reactions.

• Adherence to HIPAA confidentiality regulations.

• Ability to recognize, prevent, and respond to client danger, aggression, crisis situations, or medical emergencies.
