Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner – CA License

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform telehealth evaluations, assessments, and medication management sessions for clients based in CA.

• Work alongside therapists and the supervising psychiatrist to provide cohesive and integrated care.

• Track patient outcomes and modify treatment plans as necessary.

• Engage in regular case consultations and participate in team meetings.

• Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation is maintained in the EMR.

• Offer psychoeducation to patients and their families.

• Keep abreast of the latest psychiatric care practices, telehealth trends, and continuing medical education (CME) requirements.

• Manage a consistent, organized weekly schedule from Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm Pacific Time, or an alternative Monday to Thursday schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in CA.

• PMHNP certification in good standing.

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.

• Capability to handle a high client load on busy days.

• Comfort with a salaried pay structure rather than a per-session payment model.

• Dependability and a strong sense of personal responsibility.

• Ability to independently manage time, caseload, and clinical documentation.

• Strong clinical judgment and a comprehensive understanding of psychiatric medications.

• Proficient telehealth skills.

• Familiarity with EMRs and virtual platforms.

• Clear and compassionate communication skills with both patients and team members.

• Ability to work autonomously while remaining connected to a collaborative care team.
