Provider Contracting Executive

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Initiate, negotiate, and finalize contracts and agreements with physicians, hospitals, and other providers for Humana's Alabama Market.

• Act as the main point of contact for providers.

• Convey contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement rates to providers.

• Assess the financial implications of contracts and terms.

• Keep contracts and documentation organized within a tracking system.

• Identify and recruit providers based on network composition and requirements.

• Counsel executives on functional strategies and key issues.

• Utilize independent judgment to make decisions on complex matters with minimal oversight.

• Travel to providers within the region up to 20% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network management and administration within a healthcare organization.

• At least 2 years of experience in project leadership.

• Strong skills in provider contracting, including negotiation, preparation, implementation, financial analysis, and rate proposal development.

• Must reside within the designated region.

• Willingness and ability to travel to providers up to 20% of the time.

• Minimum internet speeds of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload for home or hybrid employees.

• Work from a dedicated space free from ongoing interruptions to safeguard member PHI / HIPAA information.

• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

• Experience with ACO/Risk Contracting is preferred.

• Experience with Value Based Contracting is preferred.
