This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Observe members of the account management team to understand how they cultivate and sustain relationships with physicians, administrators, C-suite executives, pharmacists, nurses, and various stakeholders within clinics.
• Aid in preparing for customer discussions by collecting relevant information, organizing materials, and learning how McKesson’s services benefit provider customers.
• Support the preparation for quarterly business reviews and customer meetings by analyzing trends, identifying GPO optimization opportunities, and gathering business insights.
• Familiarize yourself with customer retention strategies, distribution agreements, aggregate partnerships, and the value McKesson offers to provider practices.
• Observe account managers acting as a unified resource for McKesson Provider Specialty customers.
• Collaborate with Onmark GPO, Clinical Specialists, Customer Success Managers, Customer Care, Medically Integrated Dispensing, Advisory Services, Finance, Pricing, and Operations teams.
• Assist in meeting preparations, documentation follow-ups, customer research, and internal coordination efforts.
• Gain an understanding of McKesson products, services, systems, customer support resources, and best practices in account management.
• Acquire hands-on experience in provider account management within McKesson Specialty without the responsibilities of direct account ownership.
• Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program, ideally focusing on sales, marketing, business management, healthcare administration, or a similar discipline.
• Previous internship, customer service, sales, healthcare, or other business-related experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Interested in developing business insights and understanding how analytics can identify customer opportunities and trends.
• Enthusiasm for the pharmaceutical, healthcare, sales, or account management sectors.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capable of learning from diverse teams, posing insightful questions, and contributing to successful outcomes.
• Organized, responsible, inquisitive, and eager to learn.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a readiness to collaborate across functions.
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in managing multiple assignments, meeting deadlines, and fulfilling commitments.
• Strong active listening skills and the ability to tailor communication styles to various audiences.
• Must have authorization to work in the US without restrictions; this position is not eligible for sponsorship.
• Must comply with applicable company travel and transportation policies if travel is necessary.
