Proposals and Contracts Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire Request for Proposals (RFP) process, which includes receipt, analysis, coordination with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and the delivery of detailed proposals.

• Create and formulate strategic proposals and budgets in response to RFPs.

• Integrate feedback from SMEs and ensure compliance with company policies and pricing frameworks.

• Direct the development and negotiation of contracts across various internal departments.

• Set up and uphold contract standards specific to accounts, including formats for budget presentations, payment terms, and contractual language.

• Identify and address potential barriers related to RFPs and contracts through effective mitigation strategies.

• Handle multiple complex tasks, prioritize workload effectively, and adhere to tight deadlines.

• Lead and facilitate meetings with clients to negotiate costs, terms, and details of contracts.

• Ensure accurate documentation and management of data for proposals, contracts, supporting files, metrics, and KPI tracking.

• Collaborate with Operations, Project Management, Legal, Business Development, and Finance to produce client-ready proposals and contracts.

• Cultivate and sustain robust client relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Business, Languages, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• 4-6 years of relevant experience in project support, finance, contracting, or proposals within a CRO or similar regulated setting.

• Familiarity with clinical trial processes, principles of contract management, and pricing structures.

• Solid understanding of cash flow and revenue recognition principles.

• Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.

• Proficient in proposal and contract management, including pricing structures, contractual terms, and data management systems such as Salesforce.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and database systems.

• Insight into clinical research operations.

• Capability to work independently within a matrix environment.

• Willingness to work from home and be available for irregular or extended hours as necessary to meet client proposal deadlines.

• MBA or an advanced business degree is preferred.

• Previous experience in proposal development within a clinical research or CRO environment is preferred.

• Experience in multinational and multicultural organizations is preferred.

• Supervisory or mentoring experience is preferred.
