This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Conduct virtual and in-person investigations at the homes of policyholders.
β’ Evaluate property damage, ascertain liability, assess the magnitude of loss, and negotiate equitable settlements.
β’ Utilize claims processing software, a company vehicle, and a laptop to assess claims-related damages and create estimates in a paperless setting.
β’ Identify and report potential subrogation opportunities.
β’ Notify the appropriate state and industry agencies of incidents involving theft, fraud, or arson.
β’ Operate independently, with work that directly influences management decisions.
β’ Represent the company in a professional manner during public engagements.
β’ Interact with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, investigators, attorneys, medical professionals, and other relevant parties.
β’ Negotiate settlements with policyholders to resolve claims.
β’ Advocate for safety and adhere to safety and ergonomic protocols.
β’ Travel away from home for CAT deployments, typically lasting 2-3 days, with an anticipated 1-3 deployments annually.
β’ High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
β’ Exceptional customer service skills, ideally in a retail setting.
β’ Experience in construction or insurance is highly preferred.
β’ Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Proficient in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
β’ Familiarity with smartphones and mobile applications.
β’ Willingness to learn about insurance policies and property damage.
β’ Valid driver's license required.
β’ Must be bondable.
β’ Final candidates will undergo a Motor Vehicle Record background check.
β’ Capability and willingness to climb ladders and work on rooftops multiple times daily.
β’ Ability and willingness to work in small, confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
β’ Must achieve a minimum passing score on all claims training assessments.
β’ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
β’ Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
