This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Investigate and manage property claims.
• Gather information, assess coverages, conduct field inspections, and resolve claims.
• Manage moderately complex homeowner property field claims, generally within a 2-hour radius of Cleveland, Ohio.
• Occasionally manage desk claims.
• Investigate the origin and cause of claims by contacting insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, investigators, adjusters, and public personnel.
• Identify complex issues and seek assistance when necessary.
• Manage 1st-party and 3rd-party claims under various policy types and endorsements.
• Perform on-site inspections, assess damages, and negotiate settlements.
• Address customer inquiries, make decisions, and close files as required.
• Interpret policies, leases, by-laws, declarations, articles, and contract coverages.
• Provide updates on the claim process and status, and respond to or redirect questions.
• Complete additional assignments and participate in projects as required.
• Report to the Property Claim Manager.
• Occasionally travel to office locations for team meetings, training, and cultural events.
• Proven experience delivering customer-focused solutions, support, or service.
• Demonstrated experience managing 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims across various operating territories, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience with moderately complex claims, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of policies and endorsements related to casualty coverages, or equivalent knowledge.
• In-depth understanding of each phase of the claim handling process, or equivalent knowledge.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Obtain state-specific property casualty claims licensing as required.
• Hands-on experience in property field claims.
• Proven ability to create clear, accurate, and timely estimates using Xactimate.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Ability to perform catastrophe duty up to 75% as necessary.
• Capability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and similar structures.
• Ability to work in tight, confined spaces and hazardous environments.
• Capacity to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds in all directions.
