Project Superintendent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Lead the direct subcontractor workforce, overseeing all field operations, construction management tasks, and site performance.

• Serve as the main field leader, collaborating with project management, engineering, and client stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.

• Drive project planning activities alongside the Project Manager, focusing on the critical path, sequencing, and execution strategy oversight.

• Ensure that all work aligns with contract specifications.

• Manage and direct various scopes and subcontractors, ensuring schedule alignment, productivity, and quality standards are met.

• Supervise the timely, safe, and cost-efficient installation of all contracted work.

• Create detailed work plans, look-ahead schedules, and site logistics plans in collaboration with project teams.

• Provide leadership during pre-construction and the initial phases of projects, including input on constructability, scheduling strategy, and risk assessment.

• Deliver proactive project updates to internal leadership, clients, and stakeholders, highlighting potential risks and suggesting solutions.

• Ensure a comprehensive understanding and enforcement of owner contracts, subcontracts, and procurement requirements in the field.

• Champion safety, quality control, and compliance programs according to company policies as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

• Address field issues, promote accountability, and foster strong relationships with subcontractors.

• Carry out additional duties as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.

• At least five (5) years of experience in mechanical and electrical construction within complex commercial or government settings.

• Capability to review confidential U.S. security information.

• OSHA 30-hour Certification.

• Certified Quality Manager (CQM) Certification.

• In-depth understanding of the construction lifecycle, including scheduling (CPM), contract administration, manpower planning, and cost control.

• Proven experience in leading large-scale field operations and managing multiple simultaneous scopes.

• Extensive background in Quality Control (QC) and safety leadership on complex projects.

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and various construction management tools.

• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA standards, building systems, and federal construction regulations.

• Demonstrated skill in managing competing priorities, mitigating risks, and achieving project outcomes.
