Project Specialist, Español

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Carry out comprehensive floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpets, which includes stripping, waxing, buffing, spot cleaning, extraction, and deep cleaning of restrooms and grouts.

• Undertake special project work in designated areas.

• Transition between various stores to fill in for onsite staff absences.

• Execute sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, carpet extraction, dusting, restroom cleaning, trash disposal, window cleaning, and other cleaning tasks in store areas.

• Consult the daily task list for each store when covering a position.

• Arrive at work as scheduled and punctually, accurately reporting hours worked through the phone timekeeping system.

• Adhere to schedules to avoid exceeding budget constraints.

• Instruct cleaners on job skills, cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.

• Educate store personnel on the use of PPE, safety signs, tapes, and cones.

• Communicate any issues regarding employees, stores, equipment, and supplies to management.

• Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.

• Engage respectfully with customers, store staff, and the general public.

• Promptly report injuries, falls, and store damages, cleaning as necessary.

• Identify and implement enhancements to boost productivity and service efficiency.

• Enforce company policies and procedures when required.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least one year of experience as a site lead or equivalent experience in another organization.

• Familiarity with sweeping, mopping, burnishing, waxing, and stripping techniques for retail or institutional locations.

• Reliable transportation to travel between stores within the assigned area.

• Proficient in reading and writing in either Spanish or English.

• Capability to operate and instruct others in the use of vacuum cleaners, scrubbers, floor buffers, wet/dry vacs, swing machines, and strip machines.

• Strong judgment and time management abilities.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish solid working relationships with onsite staff.

• Ability to inspire and motivate team members.

• Capacity to apply common sense and follow complex instructions.

• Skill in maintaining respectful communication with coworkers, customers, and store personnel.

• Willingness to work night shifts and/or very early morning hours.

• Required vision capabilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus.
