📋 Description

• Oversee and manage all elements of large-scale Data Center construction and renovations from start to finish.

• Manage multiple innovative AI projects regarding their scale and design.

• Supervise the work executed by network engineers, data center technicians, and internal clients/partners.

• Establish project specifications and conduct feasibility and needs/impact evaluations.

• Create comprehensive project plans and oversee asset management, resource distribution, progress monitoring, change management, documentation, training, and timely delivery within budgetary limits.

• Handle several cross-functional and technical network deployment initiatives.

• Collaborate with functional teams throughout the initiation, planning, design, procurement, deployment, and post-deployment stages.

• Monitor and record program milestones, timelines, and overall deliverables.

• Manage assets and materials across data centers and storage facilities.

• Develop and uphold project documentation, including schedules, reviews, process documents, and risk evaluations.

• Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with relevant stakeholders while ensuring technical feasibility.

• Drive project lifecycle milestones from concept to closure and promote change management.

• Utilize metrics and KPIs to assess project performance and provide consistent status reports.

• Engage in internal process enhancements and bridge gaps across teams and functions.

• Identify and monitor risks, execute risk assessments and management strategies, and offer mitigation plans.

• Act as a liaison for vendor partners and internal stakeholders.

• Organize regular meetings with core teams.

• Evaluate post-project outcomes against metrics and suggest or implement modifications to enhance delivery practices and processes.

• Perform additional duties as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from an accredited four-year college or university along with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 2 to 5 years of project management experience in a demanding, fast-paced environment, ideally in support of data centers or network hardware.

• Over 2 years of experience with data center lifecycles and/or large-scale networks.

• Ability to cultivate productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Exercise judgment within established procedures and practices to decide on appropriate actions.

• Knowledge of project management teams, conflict resolution, and adherence to schedule timelines.

• Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, documentation).

• Capability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.

• Self-motivated individual who can rapidly learn new tools and become familiar with new processes and technologies with minimal guidance.

• Experience in creating spreadsheets, presentation materials, and project/process documentation.

• Strong observational and analytical capabilities, including the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate substantial amounts of information, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy, ability to track and report metrics, and manage risks.

• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and communicate project updates to client executives.

• Willingness to work across multiple North American time zones (remotely or from the local client office).

• Various certifications (PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PPM, CPD, CPMP, etc.).

• Understanding of the OSI model.

• Familiarity with various project management methodologies.
