Project Manager, Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +29 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee support for a mid-to-large-scale product.

• Act as the main liaison between government stakeholders and the Nava team.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, assess effort and capacity, manage production incidents, establish delivery expectations, monitor progress, and eliminate obstacles.

• Translate issues into clear, actionable tickets for engineers and product teams.

• Address Priority One issues as they occur.

• Foster and sustain relationships with Nava colleagues, government stakeholders, contractors, and cross-functional partners.

• Cultivate an understanding of team goals, systems, and capabilities to guide priorities and resolve issues.

• Coordinate across multiple Scrum teams to ensure alignment within complex ecosystems.

• Provide timely updates on risks, progress, successes, challenges, and outcomes.

• Track team velocity and sprint commitment reliability.

• Continuously enhance planning, organizing, and delivery processes.

• Engage in a Project Manager rotation to lead production releases and incident responses approximately one week each month.

• Work additional hours outside regular business hours if a high-priority incident arises during the rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, Product Manager, or in a similar capacity within a complex software development environment with numerous stakeholders.

• More than 3 years of experience leading Agile Scrum teams, including facilitating ceremonies and promoting effective team delivery.

• Capability to function as Scrum Master for two concurrent, highly technical workstreams such as cloud infrastructure and payments processing.

• Practical experience utilizing Agile performance metrics including velocity, sprint commitment reliability, capacity planning, and backlog health.

• Familiarity with and management of engineering ticketing systems while tracking issues to resolution with comprehensive documentation.

• Proven experience leading fast-paced, complex projects that involve multiple milestones, dependencies, integrations, and significant risk, uncertainty, or scale.

• Experience in collaborating across Product, Design, and Engineering teams within a multidisciplinary environment.

• Knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.

• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.

• Proven ability to establish and maintain client relationships and prioritize across multiple projects.

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Outstanding communication, situational awareness, and conflict-resolution abilities.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Ability to fulfill requirements for applicable government contracts.

• Work authorization that does not necessitate visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• May be subject to a government background check or security clearance.

• Experience with Azure DevOps and Confluence is preferred.

• Desired experience includes government technology delivery, agile transformation, technical quality assurance, and/or CI/CD pipeline experience.
