Project Manager II – EPC Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Ensure the safe, timely, and budget-compliant installation of DI equipment and the execution of EPC projects according to specifications.

• Oversee project initiation, production/procurement, budget management, scheduling, and project closure.

• Spearhead strategic initiatives and manage high-value, multi-disciplinary projects.

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company policies and legal regulations.

• Lead complex, multi-phase projects that are strategically significant.

• Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders.

• Develop and execute risk management plans and contingency measures.

• Monitor project portfolio performance metrics and report findings to senior leadership.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives across project execution methodologies.

• Conduct post-project evaluations and lessons-learned discussions.

• Assist in business development through proposals and client presentations.

• Mentor and provide guidance to Project/Construction Manager I-level staff.

• Collaborate with finance and operations to enhance resource allocation efficiency.

• Lead permitting and interconnection coordination with utility companies and regulatory authorities.

• Ensure adherence to environmental mitigation strategies and safety standards.

• Manage the selection of subcontractors, define scopes, and track performance.

• Oversee RFIs, change orders, and project close-out documentation.

• Maintain project documentation through Procore and other project management platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with 6+ years of experience in the energy or construction sectors; OR a High School Diploma with at least 8 years of experience in construction or energy industries.

• PMP certification is preferred.

• Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects with budgets over $15 million.

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is mandatory.

• Knowledge of permitting processes and environmental compliance requirements.

• Experience in coordinating utility interconnection needs and securing regulatory approvals.

• Demonstrated success in mentoring junior project managers or coordinators.

• Advanced proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).

• Experience in risk and change management and planning for mitigation.

• Strong financial acumen including skills in forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

• Willingness to travel (50%+); must be able to drive a company vehicle and/or fly commercially.

• Must be able to stand or walk for 3–4 hours consecutively.

• Capability to work in varying climates, noise levels, and around energized electrical equipment, overhead hazards, and heavy machinery.
