This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Take ownership of assigned customer-facing technical projects from the handoff by Sales to successful completion and closure.
• Act as the main point of contact, ensuring an exceptional delivery experience for customers.
• Confirm project scope, deliverables, assumptions, dependencies, and customer expectations.
• Oversee scope management throughout the project lifecycle and communicate any changes or potential scope conflicts.
• Create and maintain project plans along with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
• Manage milestones, dependencies, critical paths, resource assignments, and forecast completion dates.
• Coordinate both internal and external resources while addressing any resource constraints, conflicts, or dependencies.
• Assess project health and identify, document, mitigate, and escalate risks as necessary.
• Formulate and implement recovery plans for projects that are at risk, stalled, or facing challenges.
• Oversee project budgets, expenditures, time entries, procurement activities, and invoicing alignment.
• Update customers and internal stakeholders on project status, achievements, upcoming activities, risks, decisions, and changes.
• Facilitate difficult conversations and de-escalate issues when required.
• Maintain project schedules, forecasts, risks, milestones, financial data, decisions, and communications within project management systems.
• Apply PMO standards, procedures, and escalation processes consistently.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to Project Coordinators and Project Manager I’s.
• Contribute to enhancements in PMO processes, tools, reporting, customer communication, and project delivery practices.
• An Associate’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive project management experience, including the independent management of multiple concurrent customer-facing projects.
• Experience in technology, cybersecurity, managed services, or professional services is preferred.
• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification is required; an active PMP certification satisfies the CAPM requirement.
• PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong working knowledge of scope, schedule, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), dependencies, critical path, resource planning, risk management, financial management, and project forecasting.
• Capability to identify project risks and issues, develop practical solutions, manage competing priorities, and lead projects that are challenged or at risk.
• Excellent customer and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to build trust, manage expectations, facilitate meetings, communicate difficult information, and collaborate with technical resources and senior leadership.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively, take ownership, exercise sound judgment, and mentor or support less-experienced team members.
• Familiarity with ConnectWise or similar Professional Services Automation (PSA) and project management platforms is preferred.
