Project Manager I – Construction Risk Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Provide leadership and mentorship to project-related personnel and business units.

• Oversee vendors and project resources while balancing competing priorities.

• Manage mid-sized projects or significant portions of large-scale projects with minimal supervision.

• Serve as a consultant to business units.

• Prepare management reports that summarize the status of projects and work activities.

• Assess project effectiveness post-implementation, document insights, and integrate changes into future project plans.

• Guide employees to ensure tasks are initiated and completed successfully.

• Assist employees in adhering to human resources policies, procedures, and conduct guidelines.

• Facilitate the exchange of information, skills, and knowledge among team members.

• Support a project portfolio by providing leadership and direction.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Utilize the company's business project management model for high-profile, company-wide initiatives as necessary.

• Manage communications with key stakeholders and promptly convey significant changes in project status.

• Ensure that employees comprehend the readiness process and conduct readiness sessions for implementation.

• Organize time and assignments according to workload and the Department Manager's guidance.

• Complete tasks independently and with a focus on detail.

• Uphold the risk management culture of the department and the bank.

• Relay technical construction information to lending staff.

• Evaluate complex construction projects and make well-informed recommendations.

• Engage in industry events and training to stay updated on construction risk trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience.

• Preferred: technical degree in engineering or architecture.

• Preferred: over 10 years of experience.

• Experience in Construction Quality Control/Quality Assurance.

• Knowledge of Code, Design, Change Orders, Construction Administration, Procurement, etc.

• Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Capacity to effectively interact with all organizational levels.

• Proven track record in fostering strong collaborative relationships between business and technology.

• Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and make sound business decisions.

• Self-motivated with exceptional problem-solving proficiency.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Excellent interpersonal abilities.

• Capability to maintain confidentiality.

• Flexibility and a high level of initiative and motivation.

• Proven history of delivering excellent internal and external customer service.

• Ability to convey technical construction information to lending personnel.

• Sound judgment in construction engineering to analyze complex projects and offer thoughtful recommendations.

• Willingness to engage in occasional domestic travel.

• Capability to perform sedentary work, manage multiple tasks, operate standard office equipment, maintain concentration for extended periods, read/write/comprehend instructions, and execute basic arithmetic continuously.

• Ability to occasionally respond to sounds, sit/stand/walk, navigate safely in confined spaces, lift/carry items under 25 lbs., squat, bend, and reach forward.
