This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee, develop, and execute Mechanical Engineering and power generation initiatives of various complexities and sizes.
• Analyze technical specifications to ensure product compatibility for power generation applications by utilizing mechanical, electrical, and engineering principles.
• Organize project planning meetings and define project scope, objectives, performance targets, timelines, and milestones.
• Formulate cross-functional schedules and monitor performance against established goals and timelines.
• Prepare comprehensive resource plans that include budget and headcount; allocate resources effectively.
• Assess customer single-line/electrical diagrams and schematics for alignment with site conditions and generator specifications using CREO/Auto-CAD.
• Conduct technical reviews to verify that equipment satisfies customer site requirements.
• Coordinate modifications to equipment specifications.
• Engage with customers, contractors, and internal engineering teams to clarify requirements and address project challenges using Salesforce.
• Leverage project planning and cross-functional expertise to enhance Manufacturing Operations Excellence.
• Utilize engineering diagnostic tools, such as the 7-step resolution process and FMEA, to identify equipment problems and reduce operational downtime.
• Oversee PowerGen package commissioning, installation, functional testing, and compliance with safety/government certifications.
• Investigate, assess, and guide service technicians during startup and equipment failure resolution.
• Manage seismic calculations and emissions certification applications in collaboration with third-party organizations.
• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, or a related field, with 3 years of experience in a Mechanical, Project, Thermal, or Systems Engineering role, or similar position.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, or a related field, with 5 years of experience in a Mechanical, Project, Thermal, or Systems Engineering role, or similar position.
• Proficient in Scope Management.
• Familiarity with schedule management tools.
• Experience in Project Resource Management.
• Proficient in CREO/Auto-Cad.
• Able to coordinate equipment specification modifications and lead the technical review process to ensure equipment meets customer site requirements.
• Experience with Salesforce.
• Cross-functional expertise in designing and developing project plans.
• Knowledge of engineering diagnostic tools, including the 7-step resolution process and FMEA.
• Understanding of PowerGen package commissioning plans, installation, functional testing, and adherence to safety/government compliance certifications, including NFPA 110 and Tier 4 Source Testing.
