This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Create comprehensive project plans that encompass budgets, timelines, and necessary resources.
• Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including scoping, design, construction, and commissioning.
• Conduct risk assessments, formulate mitigation plans, and address project-related challenges.
• Supervise contractors to ensure adherence to project scope, specifications, and safety protocols.
• Execute nationwide site visits, including engineering and night shifts, to confirm construction standards.
• Manage project expenses to remain within approved budget limits.
• Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to enhance cost efficiency, negotiate contracts, and oversee contractor performance.
• Coordinate efforts with engineering, procurement, operations, finance, and other relevant departments.
• Serve as the main point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage contractor relationships and uphold project standards.
• Ensure that CAPEX projects meet regulatory, safety, environmental, and company criteria.
• Implement quality control and assurance measures.
• Perform post-project assessments and suggest areas for process enhancement.
• Maintain thorough project documentation and progress reports.
• Provide senior management with updates on project status, risks, and performance indicators.
• Prepare project closure documentation and facilitate the transition of completed projects to sales and operations.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management or CAPEX project delivery.
• Preferred experience in construction, engineering, or digital sectors.
• Proven experience in managing construction installation and commissioning projects, particularly in roadside, highway, rail, or airport settings.
• Experience in managing contractors and suppliers effectively.
• Familiarity with NEC3/4 or similar contract management frameworks.
• Compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 is essential.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety-first site management and auditing practices.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies.
• Practitioner-level certification/qualification such as PRINCE2 or equivalent is preferred.
• Knowledge of project management software like MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in supporting project cost controls and budgeting processes.
• Strong analytical abilities for risk management, scheduling, and problem-solving.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a dynamic environment.
