This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of projects that range from standard to moderately complex, with a focus on healthcare data exchange, the implementation of interoperability standards, clearinghouse operations, or other organizational objectives.
• Spearhead implementation efforts such as integrating new health system partners into the HIE or launching new clearinghouse services.
• Create and sustain project documentation that encompasses scope, requirements, standards, resource allocation, risk management, and communication strategies.
• Design and update IT or operational project plans that detail objectives, technologies, systems, specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing requirements.
• Formulate and oversee work breakdown structures and identify project critical paths.
• Establish and carry out project communication strategies.
• Identify and organize project resources and materials.
• Collaborate with teams and finance to develop project cost estimates.
• Assist in conducting cost-benefit analyses and return-on-investment assessments.
• Evaluate customer needs through direct engagement, surveys, and various other methods.
• Coordinate efforts among cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Schedule and lead project meetings.
• Track milestones and technical deliverables, providing timely status updates to leadership and external partners.
• Compile project status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Initiate, review, or approve modifications to project plans.
• Manage dependencies, foresee implementation risks, and escalate critical security or compliance issues as necessary.
• Collaborate with project personnel to identify and resolve issues.
• Ensure that project outcomes meet requirements, standards, and internal security policies.
• Guide and coordinate multidisciplinary project team members, even without direct reports.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Two (2) to four (4) years of relevant experience in leading and managing cross-functional data integration and technology implementation projects.
• A Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent years of related work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects within a healthcare technology setting.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or other relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), CAHIMS, or CPHIMS) is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of program and project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycles and Agile methodologies.
• Proficient in using project management software tools.
• Capability to develop detailed project plans and manage multiple interdependent workstreams.
• Experience in stakeholder management, including the ability to translate technical requirements for business leaders and present project status to stakeholders.
• Ability to address sponsor inquiries regarding timelines, scope, budget, and project status.
• Physical ability to sit, use hands for dexterity, reach with arms, and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to communicate clearly and adjust focus as necessary.
