Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee one or more projects throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring the fulfillment of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and business outcomes.

• Direct discovery, planning, and requirements-gathering efforts to define business objectives, scope boundaries, success metrics, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, and deliverables.

• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, planning sessions, and governance discussions.

• Create and maintain project management plans, schedules, risk registers, issue logs, dependency logs, communication plans, governance processes, and status reporting mechanisms.

• Manage project scope, evaluate proposed changes and their impacts, prepare recommendations, and facilitate governance decisions.

• Coordinate the planning, prioritization, delivery, and approval of deliverables across internal teams, external vendors, consultants, and stakeholders.

• Oversee communications, marketing, digital, content, event, partnership, and stakeholder-engagement workstreams.

• Cultivate relationships with sponsors, stakeholders, vendors, business leaders, and delivery teams while managing cross-functional teams.

• Monitor project performance and tackle risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery challenges.

• Prepare and deliver project updates, options analyses, recommendations, and decision materials for sponsors, governance bodies, and executive stakeholders.

• Support Agile and hybrid delivery through backlog management, roadmap planning, sprint planning, stakeholder reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.

• Enhance project delivery practices, governance processes, requirements-gathering methods, stakeholder engagement strategies, and organizational project management maturity.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of business experience, including 3–4 years leading projects, programs, initiatives, organizational change efforts, or business transformation activities.

• Proven experience managing projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.

• Experience in developing project charters, business cases, project management plans, schedules, budgets, governance frameworks, communication plans, and status reporting processes.

• Experience leading requirements-gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, process-mapping workshops, backlog creation activities, and solution-definition discussions.

• Proficient in establishing scope boundaries, documenting assumptions and constraints, managing project scope, and assessing impacts from scope changes.

• Skilled in facilitating stakeholder alignment and consensus-building across various business units and teams.

• Experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, and change requests.

• Background in leading Agile, hybrid, and traditional project delivery initiatives.

• Experienced in supporting cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

• Ability to present project updates, recommendations, risks, and decisions to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.

• Post-secondary education in Project Management, Business Administration, Public Relations, Marketing, Commerce, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent project management certification.

• Advanced capabilities in project planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out.

• Strong experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, and scope definition.

• Expertise in workshop facilitation and stakeholder interviews.

• Advanced stakeholder management and consensus-building skills.

• Proficient in risk, issue, dependency, and change management.

• Experience in governance and executive reporting.

• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• Capability to coach stakeholders on project delivery methodologies.

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and project management tools.

• Knowledge of Agile, hybrid, and traditional project management methodologies.
