Power Delivery Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead teams executing electric utility projects encompassing Engineering, Construction, Permitting, Siting, Environmental, Cost Controls, and Scheduling functions.

• Deliver extensive capital transmission and substation projects for clients in the electric utility sector.

• Oversee overall portfolio performance, focusing on cost, schedule, and scope management.

• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, report progress, and mitigate risks.

• Mentor and nurture project management personnel.

• Manage monthly invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable for clients.

• Identify and seek out business development opportunities.

• Ensure adherence to contract requirements and quality control benchmarks.

• Maintain consistent communication with clients, project teams, subcontractors, and support staff.

• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

• Provide Project Management Services in conjunction with engineering managers and account managers for a major electric utility client.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.

• At least 4+ years of progressive Project Management experience in the Electric Utility Industry.

• Proven experience working with US Electric Utilities.

• Thorough understanding of electric power and infrastructure projects.

• Direct experience with electric power infrastructure projects.

• Strong leadership capabilities with an emphasis on portfolio management and team development.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to travel as needed.

• Proficient in Primavera P6 or the MS Project suite.

• Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Excel.

• Experience in supervising teams, including team building and talent acquisition.

• Previous experience as a customer with Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utilities.

• Proven knowledge of PowerPlan enterprise project performance software.

• PMP Certification or a commitment to obtain it within two years.

• Prior experience in a leadership role.

• Proven success in leading cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with PowerBI and/or visualization tools.
