Project Manager

📋 Description

• Offer project management expertise across diverse technology stacks and services.

• Comprehend clients' ultimate objectives and adopt a consultative approach that aligns with their desired outcomes and strategies.

• Provide guidance to project teams on delivery, CDW processes, best practices in project management, and overall execution.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with project stakeholders while acting as a CDW steward for quality assurance.

• Define success criteria, engage stakeholders in critical decisions, and connect project results to strategic business goals.

• Negotiate modifications in cost, scope, effort, schedules, solutions, and resource commitments.

• Collect project information, evaluate impacts, document mitigation strategies, and communicate with both teams and clients.

• Independently oversee medium to large projects that require intricate cross-functional collaboration.

• Monitor project profitability, budgets, resources, actual versus planned hours, and financial reports.

• Ensure accurate tracking and approval of time, expenses, and invoices.

• Validate project scope and estimates; assess the need for new Statements of Work or Change Orders.

• Identify opportunities for additional services and communicate these to sellers.

• Guarantee that Statement of Work deliverables are completed and conduct quality assurance throughout the project's lifecycle.

• Establish, monitor, adjust, and communicate project tasks and schedules with engineering and partner resources.

• Identify resources, optimize billable schedules, and modify assignments to enhance client satisfaction and profitability.

• Identify, document, track, and communicate project risks and issues; drive timely resolutions.

• Manage procurement of equipment, software, licensing, outside services, and delivery schedules.

• Document project outcomes and lessons learned, contributing to Services PMO process enhancements.

• Hold project team members accountable for their commitments to scope and schedules.

• Build client trust, establish credibility, navigate difficult situations, and foster consensus.

• Lead teams to achieve project success factors and surpass client expectations.

• Review delegated work and provide coaching and mentorship to Associate Project Managers.

• Maintain industry knowledge through research, conferences, training seminars, and professional associations.

• Determine, manage, and deliver essential project documentation, including communication plans, schedules, status reports, quality plans, closure summaries, budgets, and risk plans.

• Lead and facilitate both live and virtual meetings; keep discussions focused and publish follow-up items.

• Adapt communication style and medium to suit the needs of the audience.

• Prepare and convey complex information, presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective.

• Anticipate client and project requirements and communicate potential solutions proactively.

• Develop and manage comprehensive schedules and work plans.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of experience in project management or four years of CDW Services experience OR 8 years of experience in project management or 8 years of CDW Services experience.

• Two or more years of experience leading small to medium-scale projects within a professional services organization.

• Experience in project management or agile consulting, advising clients on delivery best practices across various technology stacks, including Cloud, Security, and Infrastructure.

• Capability to support presales activities and identify new sales opportunities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in virtual teams.

• Experience managing projects with multiple technologies.

• Proven accountability for project outcomes, fiscal management, and team leadership.

• Familiarity with formal project management methodologies.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Project/Office.

• Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technology recommendations from a business perspective.

• Capacity to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities, adapt to shifting business needs, and meet deadlines.

• Willingness to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary.

• Ability and readiness to travel up to 25% or as required to CDW locations, meetings, and client sites.

• Capability to comprehend and apply oral and written instructions, organize and prioritize work, multitask, and use common sense.

• PMP and/or Agile Certification(s) are a plus.

• Experience with Waterfall and Agile methods, including Scrum and Kanban, is advantageous.

• An inquisitive mindset, a desire to learn, willingness to engage with evolving technologies and tools, and readiness to explore, adapt, and grow with AI.
