Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary contractor liaison for all VHA requests concerning Subject Matter Expert (SME) support, contractor performance, task order execution, and escalation management.

• Plan, initiate, manage, execute, and formally conclude multiple simultaneous projects within the AI Citizen Developer Ecosystem program.

• Ensure that projects are in alignment with VHA strategic goals and task order specifications.

• Create and maintain program management documentation including project timelines, risk registers, status reports, resource plans, and communication strategies.

• Facilitate routine program reviews, stakeholder presentations, and collaborative sessions with VHA leadership, contracting officers, and cross-functional teams.

• Report on progress, highlight risks, and promote data-driven decision-making.

• Oversee program-level budget, schedule, and performance baselines throughout the entire project lifecycle.

• Identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures to keep deliverables on schedule.

• Manage onboarding, task assignments, and performance oversight of contractor Subject Matter Experts deployed across VHA program areas.

• Ensure that SME skills are aligned with mission requirements and comply with contractual obligations.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in planning, initiating, managing, executing, and closing programs for a large corporation or government agency, ideally within a substantial healthcare organization.

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related discipline.

• Proven experience supporting federal agency clients, with a strong preference for prior work within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VHA, or a similar federal health IT environment.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a VA Position of Public Trust clearance; must be eligible to access VA systems, networks, and sensitive data in accordance with VA security and privacy regulations.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the United States in compliance with federal contracting requirements relevant to this task order.

• Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent credential of similar rigor (e.g., PgMP, PMI-ACP, FAC-P/PM) is required at the time of hire.
