Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the rapidly expanding Smart Power division within the Data Center.

• Initiate and oversee all on-site activities for large and complex project site work.

• Ensure cost-effective delivery of project outcomes in accordance with contract specifications, quality benchmarks, timelines, and safety regulations throughout the start-up, construction, and commissioning phases.

• Maintain an on-site presence for the duration of the project.

• Coordinate and facilitate the seamless execution of all work activities.

• Guarantee that a comprehensive and current site Health & Safety plan is established for each work package, aligning with the ABB H&S plan.

• Supervise ABB technicians and subcontractors across multiple sites to meet required quality, progress, delivery dates, and agreed standards.

• Plan on-site project activities together with the Site Team, including local resources, equipment, and milestones.

• Manage the budget for on-site activities, ensuring margin targets are achieved.

• Coordinate agreements between the customer and external resources regarding construction objectives, health and safety standards, site organization, and policy.

• Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally in collaboration with the Service Quality Manager to uphold strong customer relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.

• PMP certification and equivalent work experience may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

• Over 10 years of experience in project and/or construction management or field service.

• Experience in data centers or large-scale construction is highly preferred.

• Must be available to travel approximately 30% of the time.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required.

• Strong knowledge of UPS, STS, and PDU equipment site commissioning is preferred.

• The candidate is expected to live in one of the designated areas and frequently visit construction sites.
