Project Engineer, SCADA and Controls Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Lead or execute engineering tasks

• Examine customer project documentation and establish SCADA Design Requirements

• Provide technical guidance from project initiation to customer handover

• Coordinate internal and external resources to achieve project milestones and deliverables

• Assist in reviewing engineering services proposals

• Collaborate with developers, owner representatives, utilities, EPCs, vendors, and internal product, project, design, and commissioning teams

• Contribute to the design of monitoring and control systems for utility-scale renewable energy projects

• Design and develop System Architecture Diagrams, Device Points Lists, IP lists, Logic Diagrams, and HMI mockups

• Create documentation for design, development, and commissioning

• Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to junior engineers and team members

• Enhance the internal knowledge base and documentation

• Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing of SCADA systems and associated components

• Support the commissioning and System Acceptance Testing of SCADA systems and related components

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or a related field

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and business partners

• Over 3 years of SCADA development experience, particularly in solar (PV) and Battery (BESS) installations

• Ignition experience is advantageous

• Proficient in at least one programming language

• Knowledge of communications architectural design

• Familiarity with industrial protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, DNP3, OPC-UA, IEC 61850, and ICCP

• Understanding of communications and network design principles

• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

• Involvement in or leadership of continuous improvement/lessons learned initiatives

• Experience in customer interactions

• Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 15%
