Project Engineer – Civil Structural

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations to determine the origins and causes of failures, damages, or defects in civil and structural domains across residential, commercial, and industrial locations.

• Assess failures in building systems and identify their underlying causes.

• Review construction quality and evaluate design and maintenance protocols.

• Execute field investigations and facilitate multi-party examinations, along with documentation of damaged properties.

• Investigate failure modes and ensure compliance with code requirements.

• Develop recommendations for repairs or remediation.

• Create detailed reports and letters that explain the origin and cause of damages for clients.

• Oversee and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on extensive and intricate projects.

• Perform field inspections and investigations approximately 40% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field is mandatory.

• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred; however, an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) may be taken into consideration.

• A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in design within residential, commercial, and industrial environments is preferred.

• Field experience is advantageous.

• Willingness to travel 25–30% or more is required.

• Capability to work in adverse weather and various environmental settings.

• Ability to work at heights, including roofs or scaffolding, necessitating physical agility, balance, and a resistance to acrophobia.

• Proficient in managing multiple projects concurrently while adhering to strict timelines.
