This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee the technical planning and design of projects in conjunction with execution efforts.
• Assist the sales team during tender submissions by ensuring adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
• Offer expertise on specification CDE and technical submissions.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to translate successful tenders into actionable designs.
• Evaluate proposed designs and validate the suggested solutions.
• Generate design calculations specific to each project.
• Maintain clear communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide support to manufacturing and production teams throughout the build, assembly, and testing phases.
• Review operation and maintenance manuals along with training materials.
• Serve as the technical contact for ongoing projects.
• Assist Project Management during vendor communications, on-site deliveries, and commissioning activities as necessary.
• Contribute to RCA reporting in partnership with the Quality team.
• Promote employee training, development, and engagement initiatives.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.
• HNC/HND or a degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in the industry.
• Familiarity with LV/MV switchgear, control panels, and electrical distribution systems.
• In-depth understanding of single line diagrams, protection devices, and electrical design principles.
• Proficient in interpreting technical specifications and generating precise engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of BS/IEC standards pertaining to switchgear and controlgear assemblies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
• Strong attention to detail coupled with exceptional organizational abilities.
• Willingness to travel as part of the role, anticipated to be less than 20% of contracted time.
