This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Conduct analyses related to Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) fuel, safety, services, and thermal hydraulics.

• Implement asset enhancement initiatives for the currently operating fleet.

• Ensure adherence to licensing regulations.

• Provide engineering analyses that support Extended Power Uprates (EPUs), MELLLA+, Thermal Power Optimizations, and other AES Engineering Analyses.

• Lead engineering analysis projects within a production-focused engineering analysis team.

• Timely and accurately deliver engineering analyses, technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations.

• Oversee daily operations and maintain schedules for engineering tasks.

• Organize delivery meetings and oversight to guarantee the reliable provision of high-quality analyses.

• Collaborate with the plant Technical Leader to manage and implement solutions for complex technical challenges that arise during reload analyses.

• Offer and facilitate technical mentoring for the development and knowledge management of transient analysis staff.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, or equivalent).

• At least 4 years of pertinent experience in a technology or engineering position.

• Candidates working remotely will be considered.

• Ability to secure authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if necessary.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if required.

• Familiarity with engineering analysis and licensing procedures.

• Relevant experience in BWR engineering analysis.

• Comprehension of standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and the capacity to conduct independent work necessitating judgment in applying engineering techniques.

• In-depth knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant responses.

• Comprehensive understanding of nuclear engineering principles, including nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, and mechanical design as they pertain to BWR.

• Experience with standard engineering work planning and design process methodologies.

• Ability to communicate with credibility and confidence.
