This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee the daily execution of numerous large-scale and intricate projects managed by Senior Project Managers.
β’ Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, approved execution strategies, and portfolio priorities.
β’ Evaluate and challenge project timelines, resource allocations, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
β’ Enforce execution rigor, identify deviations promptly, and guarantee timely corrective measures.
β’ Establish and facilitate project governance cadence, encompassing project assessments, risk evaluations, and recovery strategies.
β’ Aggregate and manage cross-project risks and interdependencies involving engineering, factories, supply chain, and site readiness.
β’ Escalate significant risks, capacity conflicts, and execution trade-offs to the Portfolio Leader, providing options and recommendations.
β’ Assist in the recovery of projects that are at risk and lead corrective action plans in collaboration with Senior Project Managers.
β’ Supervise project costs, margins, cash performance, forecasting, EAC updates, and contingency utilization.
β’ Review and validate major financial assumptions.
β’ Assist with variation orders, claims preparation, and management of commercial exposure.
β’ Lead, mentor, and develop Senior Project Managers.
β’ Promote accountability, execution discipline, leadership behaviors, and standardized project management processes.
β’ Contribute to talent development, succession planning, and capability enhancement.
β’ Collaborate with engineering, factories, sourcing, quality, and site teams to address delivery challenges.
β’ Align factory priorities and capacities while escalating conflicts through portfolio governance.
β’ Capture and implement lessons learned, standardization, and best practices.
β’ Collaborate with the PCO team on unified communication, consolidated risk management, and coordinated delivery of GE scopes.
β’ Support Senior Project Managers in customer interactions, milestone reviews, and escalation meetings.
β’ Ensure transparent customer communication that aligns with portfolio strategy.
β’ Represent the execution organization in internal forums as delegated by the Portfolio Leader.
β’ Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized university or college.
β’ A minimum of 10β12 years of experience in executing large, complex electrical substation or power projects.
β’ Proven experience in leading multiple simultaneous projects through Senior Project Managers.
β’ Strong execution experience across engineering, manufacturing, delivery, installation, and commissioning phases.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of project financials, risk management, and contractual exposure.
β’ Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
β’ Willingness and capability to travel domestically and internationally (~25%).
β’ Experience working within portfolio or program structures for large EPC or OEM projects.
β’ PMI certification (PMP or equivalent).
