This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
β’ Perform fundamental equity research to deliver unique industry- and stock-specific insights.
β’ Develop and uphold financial forecasts and stock recommendations tailored for institutional investor clients.
β’ Share research outcomes through regular communication with both internal stakeholders and institutional investor clients.
β’ Foster relationships with colleagues in Equity Research, Equity Sales, Cash Trading, Derivatives, Wealth Management, and other departments.
β’ Exhibit expertise in the Internet sector and its related companies.
β’ Evaluate financial statements along with industry, company, and market data.
β’ Create and refresh financial models and databases.
β’ Co-author unique research content with the Senior Analyst focused on companies and industry trends.
β’ Attend industry and company events while building connections with covered companies and industry contacts.
β’ Present research conclusions to both internal and external stakeholders.
β’ Collaborate with fellow researchers on cross-sector research initiatives.
β’ Utilize independent judgment and work alongside peers, colleagues, and managers to address challenges and meet objectives.
β’ Adhere to Wells Fargo's risk, compliance, governance, monitoring, escalation, and remediation protocols.
β’ Over 7 years of experience in Securities Research or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.
β’ A Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or higher is preferred.
β’ Direct experience in the Internet sector or equity research within a specific industry sector.
β’ Proven ability to work efficiently in a team setting and across all levels of the organization.
β’ Capability to work independently while being an effective team member.
β’ Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, particularly in financial modeling.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
β’ Strong writing abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
β’ Knowledge and comprehension of financial statement analysis.
β’ Understanding of accounting principles relevant to the capital markets industry.
β’ Familiarity with investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills that are clear and concise.
β’ Completion of FINRA SIE, Series 63, 86, and 87 exams, or their equivalents, is required within 90 or 180 days post-employment if not immediately transferable.
β’ Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements.
β’ Additional product licenses or SAFE licensing may be required.
β’ Must meet enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards.
β’ Successful completion of a background check is necessary before hiring.
β’ Adherence to ongoing regulatory obligations, periodic screening, and mandatory reporting is expected.
