This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Provide support to the US West Advisory practice in the role of Project Controls Analyst.
• Ensure that client projects assigned adhere to financial, scheduling, and performance objectives.
• Oversee project controls functions for both small and large projects involving multiple project managers.
• Analyze performance trends and generate monthly project performance reports, including cost impacts.
• Recommend contractor invoices for approval.
• Prepare cost reports that track actual and committed subcontractor/vendor expenses against budgets.
• Revise forecasts utilizing earned value, discussions with project teams, and other analytical tools.
• Establish project budgets based on proposal estimates and assist Project Managers with project initiation and execution.
• Facilitate the development of effective Work Breakdown Structures.
• Relay budget, cost, and scheduling analysis findings to Project Managers and project leaders.
• Identify challenges and successes, and formulate project recovery strategies.
• Lead meetings with project teams, Project Approvers, and Finance & Accounting departments.
• Assist in managing purchase orders and subcontract agreements through the procurement process.
• Monitor spending of subcontractors/vendors against commitments and budgets.
• Complete payment release documentation and track payments to subcontractors.
• Support Project Managers with Salesforce entries and updates.
• Liaise with subcontractors concerning progress, schedules, and contract management.
• Monitor KPIs such as earned value, cost and schedule performance, estimates to completion, and project end dates.
• Track unbilled amounts, invoicing, and aged accounts receivable, providing reports to management.
• Maintain data quality metrics, project end date forecasts, and estimates to completion.
• Review client invoices and set up invoice schedules in accordance with contract terms.
• Prepare and submit monthly internal and external client reports.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to fulfill contractual obligations.
• Communicate with clients regarding invoicing, payments, contracts, and reporting demands.
• BA/BS degree plus 4 years of relevant experience in project controls or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of management consulting experience.
• Prior experience in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
• Preferred: 8+ years of pertinent project controls experience.
• In-depth knowledge of project planning and scheduling techniques, practices, and earned value is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Capability to lead project controls functions across both small and large projects within a large portfolio and multiple project managers.
• Ability to prioritize and satisfy multiple competing project demands.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teams.
• Familiarity with, or eagerness to learn, fundamental Federal Contract Requirements.
• Ability to interpret and understand client contracts and subcontracts, especially regarding scope, schedule, budget, and risks.
