Infrastructure Analyst – Backup and Storage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee, monitor, and fine-tune extensive Commvault environments

• Develop, assess, and enhance backup policies (Server Plans), retention procedures, and replication guidelines to ensure alignment with RPO and RTO standards

• Troubleshoot and rectify complex backup and restore issues, including the analysis of network and I/O bottlenecks

• Execute regular disaster recovery (DR) testing

• Manage large-scale storage infrastructures, encompassing storage systems and SAN switches

• Conduct zoning, LUN provisioning, and mapping within SAN environments

• Track storage capacity, performance, latency, and utilization to aid in expansion planning and volume restructuring

• Provide support for Windows Server and/or Linux environments as they pertain to backup and storage infrastructure

• Manage partitions, file systems, and data replication in high-availability (HA) settings

• Initiate, monitor, and facilitate the resolution of technical support cases with Commvault and storage vendors

• Create and revise technical architecture documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and capacity and SLA reports

• Recognize operational risks and apply enhancements to infrastructure performance and security

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related higher education field, along with a postgraduate qualification in IT

• ITIL Foundation v3 or higher certification, or equivalent training

• Demonstrated experience in Information Technology

• Practical experience managing Windows Server, Unix, or Linux in mission-critical environments with data replication and high availability (HA)

• Experience supporting and managing large-scale storage infrastructures, including storage systems and SAN switches

• Familiarity with enterprise backup solutions

• Experience administering and supporting Commvault environments

• Strong understanding of Commvault architecture, including MediaAgents, CommServe, Server Plans, deduplication, and retention policies

• Must possess at least one valid certification: any Windows Server certification; AZ-800; Linux Professional Institute LPIC-1; an official vendor certification in High-End Storage Administration and Advanced Support or equivalent; or Huawei HCIA Storage
