This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish and document contract costs in alignment with contractual terms and conditions.
• Facilitate contract setup and cost reporting to ensure precise project cost monitoring and financial disclosures.
• Aid in constructing pricing proposals for contract opportunities.
• Collaborate with Accounting/Finance regarding the configuration and functionalities of Costpoint or other accounting software.
• Provide training and guidance in response to internal inquiries regarding Costpoint and accounting software capabilities.
• Assist in the submission of recurring customer invoices along with necessary supporting documentation.
• Track and report the status of customer invoice submissions.
• Contribute to contract closeout processes, including confirming vendor and subcontractor release-of-claims receipts.
• Evaluate employee timekeeping and charge-code assignments against contract specifications.
• Offer advice on invoicing challenges and assist with billing modifications.
• Engage in contract kick-off meetings to identify variables for prompt system setup.
• Monitor and report on contract funding levels, documentation progress, burn rates, performance periods, renewal timelines, and agreements with subcontractors/vendors.
• Review accounts payable for subcontractors and vendors.
• Assist with internal annual audits.
• Compile contract data for government reporting and contract deliverables.
• Observe contract activities and issues impacting timely and accurate billing and collections.
• Supervise cash-flow projections and provide analytical insights.
• Aid in preparing project budget worksheets.
• Participate in team meetings to provide continuous updates on project cost statuses.
• Manage accounting activities for construction contracts, covering funding, cost tracking, budgets, change orders, retainage, subcontractor payments, and progress billings.
• Assess project financial performance and coordinate with Project Managers, Accounting, and Contracts teams.
• Track contract modifications, change orders, and adjustments to funding.
• Proficient to excellent computer skills; adept with MS Office.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Extensive knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and other prevalent accounting software systems.
• Familiarity with contract billing types, including fixed firm price (FFP), time and materials (T&M), and cost plus (Cost+).
• Understanding of government contracting terminology, including IDIQs, ACRNs, At Risk, Period of Performance, SCA, CLINs, and work breakdown structures.
• Capability to read and comprehend moderately complex written and verbal communications.
• Strong professional communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage personal time and prioritize, organize, and execute tasks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Aptitude for working both independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented and driven by tasks.

• Valid driver's license and eligibility for coverage under the company's insurance program.
• Three to five years of experience in financial project management, ideally related to government contracting.
• Three to five years of experience in construction contract accounting, project controls, or project financial management, preferably for federal or commercial construction projects.
• Proven experience in overseeing construction contract accounting and financial administration, including progress billing, retainage, subcontractor invoicing, change order management, and project cost reporting.
• Working knowledge of construction project accounting principles, contract funding management, job cost tracking, and earned value or budget-to-actual reporting methodologies.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP/accounting systems is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited four-year institution or equivalent experience.
