Project Associate, Healthcare Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist with AIR’s Healthcare Transformation Program, focusing on quality, costs, access, and program integrity in healthcare.

• Lead a small team tasked with reviewing improper payments on State-Based health insurance exchanges.

• Analyze insurance application data to assess eligibility for Advance Payment of Premium Tax Credits (APTC).

• Identify improper APTC payments, document findings, resolve discrepancies, and finalize appeal cases.

• Present findings to project leadership and stakeholders effectively.

• Contribute to annual program updates based on health policy analysis.

• Direct task execution to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.

• Oversee and conduct quality reviews of team members’ deliverables.

• Manage project information using Airtable or similar project management platforms, including data management and interface coordination.

• Act as the primary point of contact for team members, ensuring access to necessary resources and support.

• Aid in developing and sustaining project plans, timelines, and milestones.

• Coordinate and supervise project activities to guarantee timely completion.

• Prepare and circulate project documents and reports.

• Foster communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.

• Identify and address issues affecting project advancement and report status to project leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

• Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.

• Employment-based visa sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship, is not available.

• Depending on project requirements, qualified candidates may have to meet specific residency criteria.

• Capability to translate project requirements into operational actions and provide consistent support across various projects.

• Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and ensure timely completion of project activities.

• High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in managing project information and document preparation.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues affecting project progression.

• Ability to conduct basic research, summarize findings, and extract relevant information from diverse sources.

• Proficient communication and collaboration skills in a virtual work environment.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Experience with or for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with health insurance exchanges is preferred but not required.

• Proficiency in Airtable or similar tools is strongly preferred but not essential.
