This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Design and oversee workforce development initiatives that cater to Pavion's current and future technician staffing requirements.
• Build and sustain connections with trade schools, technical colleges, community colleges, apprenticeship programs, and workforce development organizations.
• Represent Pavion at career fairs, educational events, classroom presentations, networking gatherings, and various recruiting and educational activities.
• Collaborate with school administrators, educators, career placement teams, and program directors to create long-term talent pipelines.
• Identify avenues to establish internships, apprenticeships, job-shadowing programs, and entry-level career pathways.
• Work alongside Recruiting to cultivate and maintain a pipeline of qualified entry-level and early-career technicians.
• Team up with Operations and Field Leadership to grasp technical workforce demands, skill requirements, and geographic hiring focuses.
• Inform students and graduates about career opportunities within Pavion.
• Organize school visits, facility tours, technician demonstrations, and initiatives that introduce students to technical careers.
• Create and uphold career pathways for the professional growth and advancement of technicians.
• Spot training, mentorship, and development opportunities with seasoned technicians and field leaders.
• Monitor workforce development activities, school partnerships, candidate pipelines, hires, and program results.
• Establish and maintain program goals, timelines, milestones, and performance metrics.
• Provide regular updates to leadership regarding initiatives, partnerships, pipeline activities, and outcomes.
• Extend workforce development initiatives into new geographic areas in response to business growth and staffing needs.
• Collaborate with Human Resources and Recruiting to enhance technician retention, engagement, and career progression.
• Foster relationships across Pavion and act as a resource for technician workforce development initiatives.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, Workforce Development, Communications, or a relevant field is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, workforce development, recruiting, technical training, operations, or a similar field.
• Experience with trade schools, technical colleges, apprenticeship programs, or workforce development organizations is preferred.
• Background in the security, low-voltage, fire alarm, AV, structured cabling, telecommunications, data center, electrical, or other skilled trades industries is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional relationship-building and networking abilities with a talent for developing partnerships at all levels.
• Outstanding written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives and priorities.
• Capacity to work independently while effectively collaborating with Recruiting, Human Resources, Operations, and Field Leadership.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the aptitude for developing innovative and practical workforce solutions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning and utilizing recruiting, project management, and workforce management systems.
• Willingness to travel to Pavion locations, trade schools, career fairs, and other workforce development events as necessary.
