This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Oversee and direct all program activities, personnel, tasks, deliverables, schedules, and performance standards.
• Create, maintain, and revise the Program Management Plan, project schedules, staffing strategies, quality controls, and risk management approaches.
• Supervise staff assigned to routine FOIA cases, appeals, litigation, and specialized program support.
• Track workload, productivity, quality, budgets, and align with government priorities.
• Facilitate biweekly project status meetings and engage in kick-off, ad hoc, and stakeholder meetings.
• Draft agendas, meeting minutes, weekly and monthly progress reports, financial statements, annual reports, and transition plans.
• Identify project risks, performance issues, resource limitations, and schedule discrepancies, while recommending corrective measures.
• Ensure compliance of FOIA work products with relevant laws, policies, standard operating procedures, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Contracting Officer’s Representative, FOIA leadership, program offices, regional sites, legal personnel, and contractor staff.
• Suggest process and system enhancements to improve the quality, efficiency, and timeliness of FOIA case processing.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A Master’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
• Over 8 years of experience in a leadership role managing project teams.
• Proven experience in project management, quality management, performance management, and risk and issue management integration.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing federal FOIA programs or similarly complex federal information management initiatives.
• Strong understanding of the Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, and relevant federal disclosure regulations.
• Experience overseeing budgets, staffing, schedules, deliverables, performance metrics, and subcontractor activities.
• Exceptional written communication, stakeholder management, and presentation abilities.
• Capability to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance.
