This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Take full responsibility for the complete execution of assigned customer programs, from identifying opportunities to product commissioning.
• Develop, sustain, and advance comprehensive program schedules that encompass engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly, testing, shipping, installation, and commissioning.
• Facilitate regular program cadence meetings to foster ownership, make decisions, and ensure follow-through.
• Oversee the coordination of engineering releases, drawing approvals, procurement, manufacturing, testing, customer acceptance, installation, and commissioning milestones.
• Identify and escalate schedule risks and cross-functional obstacles, providing mitigation strategies.
• Maintain direct communication with customers regarding program execution and deliver proactive status updates.
• Manage the program-level P&L, including revenue, margin, costs, cash flow, scheduling, change orders, and overall performance metrics.
• Oversee change orders, monitor contractual obligations, and ensure commitments to customers are fulfilled.
• Keep program risk registers up to date and drive resolution of critical risks.
• Coordinate installation, commissioning, field resources, parts, support plans, warranty issues, and address customer concerns.
• Lead cross-functional teams without having direct reporting authority across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Testing, Commercial, Finance, and Service departments.
• Collaborate with Production Planning and Supply Chain to ensure material readiness and manufacturing capacity.
• Implement standardized program management processes and identify enhancements that minimize rework and delays.
• Share lessons learned to enhance Program Management capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
• More than 5 years of progressive experience in program or project management, preferably in an engineer-to-order or complex manufacturing setting.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
• Proficient in program management methodologies and tools, such as Monday.com, Microsoft Project, and PLM systems.
• Experience in managing customer relationships and communicating program status directly to external stakeholders.
• Strong abilities in critical-path thinking, risk management, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-growth environment with shifting priorities and multiple concurrent programs.
• PMP® certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in managing program-level P&L, change orders, and contract execution.
• Direct experience with engineered-to-order capital equipment or B2B custom manufacturing, including installation and commissioning coordination.
• Familiarity with supporting hyperscale data center customers or other rapidly scaling B2B end markets.
