This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee numerous high-impact projects and initiatives that foster business expansion and innovation.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure project results align with strategic objectives.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive work plans, drive key milestones, and provide updates to principal stakeholders.
• Evaluate options, manage risks and changes, and support decisions based on data analysis.
• Direct project management teams executing projects across diverse business sectors.
• Establish and clarify project scope and objectives.
• Deconstruct complex projects into manageable tasks while setting goals and timelines.
• Organize, budget, and oversee resources, including forecasting requirements, monitoring expenses, and ensuring alignment with schedules and deliverables.
• Lead cross-functional teams and external vendors, resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, and mentor colleagues.
• Relay project status and progress through updates, documentation, presentations, and reports to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Examine workflows, performance metrics, and business requirements to pinpoint gaps, evaluate strategies, and enhance processes and decision-making continuously.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological sciences, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• At least 1 year of experience in project management.
• ASCP or AMT Certification.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Blood Bank/Transfusion Services within an acute care hospital or health system laboratory is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Blood Bank workflows, regulatory requirements, validations, testing, and LIS functionality is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital or integrated health system laboratory environment is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience with major hospital LIS platforms such as Epic Beaker, SoftLab/SoftBank, Cerner Millennium, or similar systems is preferred.
• At least 1 year of involvement in user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, and post-implementation system optimization is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience supporting Hospital Laboratory Information System (LIS) implementations, upgrades, workflow analysis, validations, testing activities, and go-live support is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of LIS, EHR, instrument, and middleware interfaces, including troubleshooting and workflow enhancement.
• Familiarity with the Visiun® analytics application and laboratory performance metrics, dashboards, and benchmarking tools is preferred.
• Understanding of laboratory regulatory and accreditation standards and their implications on system design, testing, validation, and operational workflows.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with laboratory leadership, pathologists, clinicians, IT teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
