This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee daily program management tasks that support various agile product teams delivering digital health products for Veterans.
• Act as the primary liaison for government partners, subcontractors, and internal leadership.
• Manage comprehensive program schedules, milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
• Coordinate the execution of tasks across product, engineering, design, research, analytics, and operations teams.
• Facilitate the management of cross-team dependencies.
• Assist product owners and delivery teams with sprint objectives, release timelines, and long-term delivery plans.
• Oversee contract performance to ensure timely, within-scope completion of deliverables as per contract stipulations.
• Create and present regular program reports and dashboards.
• Monitor program health through schedules, risks, customer satisfaction, team velocity, analytics, and operational metrics.
• Organize kickoff meetings, stakeholder discussions, executive briefings, and status reviews.
• Establish relationships with VA leadership and communicate program status, achievements, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Assist with financial planning, contract management, staffing projections, and budget oversight.
• Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for program personnel.
• Supervise project personnel and cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, high-performing team environment.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements, operational efficiencies, and continuous improvements.
• Support workforce development, mentoring, and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement.
• Contribute to business development activities, including proposal evaluations, technical documentation, staffing strategies, and performance narratives.
• Undertake additional duties and special projects as required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• 8–10 years of experience in project or program management, particularly within complex federal technology programs.
• 5+ years of experience leading multiple agile product teams focused on high-profile, user-facing digital products, ideally in the healthcare or digital health sectors.
• Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, or other federal civilian agencies.
• Proficiency in managing project budgets, schedules, staffing, and contract performance.
• Strong grasp of Agile delivery, sprint planning, backlog management, release planning, and product lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with tools such as GitHub and Mural.
• Experience in developing executive-level reports and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and organizational abilities.
• Capability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at every organizational level.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in managing staff and conducting performance evaluations.
• Preferred skills include Agile Project Management, Program & Portfolio Management, Risk & Issue Management, Executive Stakeholder Engagement, Government Contract Management, Microsoft Office Suite, Data-driven Program Reporting, Team Leadership & Mentorship, Change Management, and Strategic Planning.
