This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina, +1 more state.
• Assist in financial analysis for a program valued at $200–250M
• Execute contract accounting and reporting responsibilities
• Oversee project timelines, annual financial plans, and monthly updates
• Administer contract funding and purchasing operations
• Aid in program business and functional operations
• Identify and facilitate the resolution of operational challenges
• Serve as a liaison between technical and functional departments
• Transition budget and forecasting processes from outdated spreadsheet tools to advanced applications
• Resolve accounting and invoicing challenges
• Review modifications to Government contracts and analyze for discrepancies
• Assist in program planning, oversight, and financial activities
• Maintain contract budgets and generate contract billing
• Estimate costs for materials, equipment, software, and hardware purchases
• Verify the accuracy of WAWF invoices
• Complete and submit monthly contract deliverables, including eCRAFT
• Conduct quality-control checks on costs and timecards
• Compile financial estimates and assess contract/program status
• Track requirements and cost performance against established plans
• Prepare financial and administrative reports
• Perform variance, risk, and profit/loss analyses
• Manage subcontractor funding and invoice approvals
• Ensure accurate cost capture, revenue recognition, and customer billing for projects
• Ensure adherence to project setup policies and procedures
• Prepare forecasts and guarantee timely and accurate submissions of the Annual Plan and Monthly Forecast
• Conduct peer reviews of final submissions
• Generate project financial reports, including CDRLs, Project Status Reports, PMR Reports, funding notifications, ETCs, EACs, forecast and budget reports, and invoice backup reports
• Review timecards, travel vouchers, subcontractor invoices, and funding statements
• Create complex spreadsheets and What If scenarios
• Supervise finance and administrative team members
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, such as Economics, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, etc.
• At least 6 years of experience in DoD project/program finance
• Ability to construct forecasts from scratch, including the application of wrap rates and appropriate burdens
• Proficiency in analyzing plans, forecasts, actual costs, variances, and communicating trends to program, line, and financial management
• Capability to create reports and charts based on verbal instructions
• Expertise in developing and maintaining accurate forecasts for programs and projects
• Proficiency in preparing adjusting journal entries and reconciling accounts and invoices in a timely manner
• Quick learner and highly adaptable problem solver
• Experience in managing finance and administrative team members
• Well-versed in Microsoft Excel
• Must be able to obtain and retain an active Secret clearance
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures
• Familiarity with contract types, including Firm Fixed Price and Cost Plus
• Experience with program acquisition documentation, data collection and analysis, cost estimates, and program status reports
