Program Finance Analyst, Level 2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver timely and precise metrics regarding schedule and cost performance utilizing Earned Value Management or similar methodologies.

• Assist in the development of baselines and the creation of charge numbers and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).

• Update and modify information in ERP or Cobra systems.

• Analyze and report on performance discrepancies relative to the budget and aid in formulating recovery strategies.

• Examine and report on risks and opportunities affecting baseline costs, schedules, and Estimate at Completion (EAC).

• Maintain the Project-Activity Structure (Charge Numbers).

• Complete the Estimate at Complete (EAC) procedure and support financial planning and reporting activities.

• Develop and oversee program-level time-phased plans for revenue forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning spanning five years.

• Provide financial data inputs, analyses, and variance explanations for Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).

• Ensure timely invoicing and collection of customer receivables.

• Review and relay program financial status, including funding aspects and potential cancellations.

• Perform additional duties as required.

• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders as a business partner in support of significant national defense contracts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of pertinent experience.

• Proficient in applying Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles in daily operations with established expertise.

• Familiarity with financial controls in Department of Defense (DoD) programs.

• Understanding of applicable federal acquisition regulations and standards, including CAS, FAR, and DFARS.

• Knowledge of various contract types such as Fixed-Price (FFP), Fixed-Price Incentive (FPIF), Cost-Plus Fixed-Fee (CPFF), Cost-Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF), and Time & Materials (T&M).

• Acquainted with relevant accounting topics, including revenue recognition.

• Capable of presenting complex information to all management levels.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft software applications.

• Strong skills in Excel.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

• Committed to completing tasks accurately and on schedule.

• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently.

• May need to acquire and maintain a government security clearance.
