Program Finance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct financial analysis and reporting at the program level.

• Assist in the management and control of program costs utilizing established cost baselines.

• Aid in revenue and profit recognition as well as forecasting activities.

• Facilitate customer reporting and invoicing processes.

• Contribute to monthly, quarterly, annual, and multi-year planning initiatives.

• Support the monthly forecasting process.

• Ensure compliance of the program with FAR and GAAP regulations.

• Assist with the initial setup of the program, including project codes, work breakdown structure, and billing configurations.

• Serve as the primary contact for the Program Manager regarding financial and accounting matters.

• Create annual plans and forecasts while assisting with updates on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Monitor program requirements and assess cost performance against established plans.

• Identify and assess risks and opportunities related to forecasts.

• Maintain contract budgets and ensure accurate contract billing.

• Validate and process invoices for subcontractors, Other Direct Costs (ODC), and travel.

• Assist in the monthly business rhythms for both program and finance teams.

• Perform financial analysis to support ongoing management of the program.

• Produce timely and accurate monthly performance reports.

• Collaborate with contracts, subcontracts, HR, and other functional support teams.

• Adhere to financial controls, procedures, system requirements, forecasting methods, government regulations, and customer specifications.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience, with 2+ years in program control or financial management.

• Proficient in MS Excel, including skills in pivot tables, filters, SUMIFS, and VLOOKUPS.

• Capability to coordinate with multiple support functions, including contracts, procurement, and accounting.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles such as cost collection, revenue recognition, Estimate at Complete (EAC) lifecycle, invoicing, and unbilled reconciliation.
