This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the daily administrative coordination and operations of the Military Families Outdoors program.
• Aid in the promotion, planning, and registration for Blue Star Connect Outdoors events.
• Facilitate the recruitment and selection process for families participating in near-nature and extended nature overnight trips.
• Execute administrative tasks for the Blue Star Connect Outdoors program.
• Monitor event registrations, attendance metrics, and maintain the events calendar.
• Contribute to the Military Families Outdoors communication strategy by updating the social media calendar, organizing and sharing event photos, and maintaining the Blue Star Neighborhood MFO Community Group.
• Utilize and manage project management technologies and tools such as HIVE, Hive Brite, Salesforce, Google Workspace Suite, and Zoom.
• Cultivate relationships within Blue Star Families and with external organizations to foster collaboration and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Stay informed about organizational strategic goals, targets, and priorities.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Travel overnight out of town several times a year for staff offsites, planning retreats, and company-wide events.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of pertinent work experience.
• Familiarity with project management systems or a willingness to learn new software.
• Cultural awareness of the active-duty military family lifestyle.
• Comprehensive knowledge of program development, management, evaluation, and reporting.
• Ability to work independently while also supporting team efforts in a fast-paced, geographically dispersed organization.
• Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in volunteer management.
• Strong technological skills, including expertise in Salesforce (CRM), Google Docs, and Hive; comfort with conference and web calls.
• Background in collaborating with non-profit partner organizations and military families.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays; travel may be necessary for meetings, training, and events.
• Highly organized with the capability to plan effectively, adapt to changing circumstances, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Strong communication skills with individuals from diverse backgrounds and the ability to promote teamwork.
• Experience with CRM systems; familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous.
• Experience in outdoor recreation is a plus.
• Fully remote/virtual work available within the continental United States.
