This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Enhance business profitability by managing pricing execution, contract escalation, and margin recovery initiatives.
• Collaborate strategically with Finance, Operations, and Sales teams.
• Optimize account portfolios by rectifying negative-margin accounts and implementing price pass-throughs.
• Conduct portfolio assessments to identify, analyze, and enhance profitability for accounts facing margin challenges.
• Address accounts impacted by market inflation and promote operational margin improvements.
• Monitor trends in raw material costs, supply chain variations, and operational inflation.
• Implement price pass-through updates and enforce contract escalation terms, CPI adjustments, and material cost-sharing provisions.
• Create and sustain dynamic pricing models and acceptable margin thresholds.
• Oversee post-implementation commercial activities rather than pre-sales, deal structuring, or initial pricing strategy.
• Convert cost structures into post-production pricing adjustments and recovery strategies.
• Communicate value propositions during contract renewals and renegotiations of price increases.
• Maintain and enhance analytical models and dashboards.
• Develop new models to monitor price realization, pass-through compliance, and margin growth.
• Keep track of contract expiration dates and the history of price adjustment implementations.
• Analyze account profitability trends and identify accounts at high risk.
• Provide weekly and monthly executive summaries on margin recovery, pending price increases, and negative-margin risks.
• Act as the main commercial liaison for Operations and Finance.
• Coordinate reviews with Sales leadership to pinpoint margin recovery opportunities and address profitability gaps.
• Work alongside Business Unit leadership on strategic initiatives for margin improvement.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 3–5 years of progressive experience in pricing management, commercial operations, business analysis, or sales operations.
• Demonstrated understanding of internal company workflows.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and packaging cost drivers.
• Experience in directly supporting or operating within a sales environment.
• Capability to leverage, enhance, and sustain analytical models.
• Proficiency in aggregating data and creating actionable reporting dashboards using Excel or Google Suite.
• Strong grasp of sales processes, client contracting terms, price elasticity, and customer negotiation dynamics.
• Ability to influence sales behavior, hold team members accountable, and drive change across operational and commercial teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to present recommendations directly to senior leadership in the business.
• Proactive and creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate complex operational cost data into clear commercial action steps.
