Professional Services Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and support software products, services, and systems.

• Lead strategic initiatives in software design and development.

• Inspire and guide developers and engineers.

• Deliver software solutions that surpass customer expectations and contribute to organizational success.

• Select and mentor team members.

• Build high-performing teams while promoting personal and professional development.

• Equip teams with the necessary tools and ensure timely delivery within agreed deadlines.

• Execute SRE responsibilities, including automated testing, QA checks, and code scans.

• Collaborate with the Scrum Master to effectively prioritize the backlog.

• Develop user stories that adhere to the INVEST criteria.

• Implement Agile Scrum ceremonies to provide solutions that address both technical and business challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing high-performing teams utilizing agile methodologies (the posting states “X years,” without specifying a number).

• In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, practices, programming languages, frameworks, and tools.

• Leadership qualities that inspire and motivate development teams to produce solutions that fulfill business needs.

• Strong project management skills, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.

• Business insight to comprehend customer needs, market trends, and align software development with business goals.

• Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.

• Experience with one or more hyperscalers to utilize cloud-native solutions.

• A commitment to continuous learning to stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
