Professional Liability Paralegal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary liaison for designated clients

• Operate autonomously with assigned law firms and attorney clients

• Collaborate with an Account Supervisor for assistance with plan adjustments, inquiries, quality feedback, delegation, and teamwork practices

• Complete assigned legal tasks and projects punctually and to a high-quality standard

• Maintain proactive communication with clients and Account Supervisors

• Log time daily using the designated tool

• Respond to communications within agreed-upon client-specific response times

• Keep detailed, current client profiles

• Manage and organize attorney email correspondence and aid in client communication

• Compose clear, professional written communications

• Provide case management support for a substantial professional liability litigation caseload, including nursing home claims

• Oversee calendars and track deadlines, case milestones, and follow-up tasks

• Assist with processes and documentation related to settlements

• Organize and manage case information and documentation

• Proactively follow up and coordinate cases to ensure progress

• Utilize, identify, and independently employ AI tools for enhanced efficiency, organization, drafting, research, and other legal workflows

• Adapt to emerging AI technologies and systems

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience performing relevant paralegal responsibilities

• Proven hands-on experience with AI tools in a professional or legal environment

• Capability to independently apply AI tools to enhance workflows and productivity

• Understanding of responsible and effective AI application in legal tasks

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to independently prioritize and manage tasks in a high-volume setting

• Sound judgment when interacting with clients, attorneys, carriers, and other professionals

• Proactive attitude and eagerness to identify improvements in process efficiency

• Preferred: Experience in professional liability litigation

• Preferred: Experience in medical malpractice or nursing home litigation

• Preferred: Experience in insurance defense

• Preferred: Background in working with insurance carriers

• Preferred: Familiarity with Case Guild or similar AI-driven legal technology

• Preferred: Experience in integrating AI tools into legal workflows

• Preferred: Experience using AI for drafting, summarization, document review, legal research, case organization, or other legal support activities

• Remote 1099 independent contractor arrangement

• Availability for clients during agreed-upon business hours; around-the-clock availability is not required
