This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate and revise Kelvin's contract templates to ensure precision, uniformity, and compliance with current legal and business standards.
• Develop and uphold contract negotiation and review playbooks.
• Monitor commercial decisions made by leadership.
• Examine NDAs, MSAs, and other legal documents received from clients and potential partners.
• Conduct redline comparisons between document versions and identify any deviations from Kelvin's established positions.
• Systematize internal legal files and folders while ensuring effective version control.
• Assess and assist in updating internal policies.
• Address ad hoc legal-administrative requests as needed.
• Collaborate across functions with sales and technology teams.
• Support Kelvin's internal legal operations and report directly to Meredith Gittings, Director of Legal.
• A minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience.
• Preference for corporate/in-house or transactional experience over litigation.
• Previous experience with a B2B SaaS/technology company is advantageous.
• Practical experience in reviewing and redlining NDAs and other commercial contracts.
• Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to create and manage templates, playbooks, and filing systems.
• Clear and concise written communication skills with a keen focus on detail.
• Capability to work independently, prioritize a diverse workload, and respond to requests reliably without daily oversight.
• A proactive working style that fosters collaboration with sales and technology teams.
• Professional experience in efficiently utilizing AI tools in daily workflows, such as Claude.
• Strong proficiency in contract and document management tools, including Word/Google Docs redlining, shared drives, and DocuSign.
• Availability to assist with time-sensitive matters from the Australian office is a plus but not mandatory.
• A paralegal certificate or equivalent practical experience is a bonus.
• Experience with large industrial clients is an added advantage.
• Must reside in the United States.
• Engagement as a part-time contractor with a fixed monthly compensation.
• Compensation encompasses availability and performance across defined responsibilities.
• Average workload is approximately 20 hours per week, subject to variability based on priorities.
• Regular check-ins to coordinate upcoming work and priorities, ensuring clarity and predictability in expectations and workload.
