This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +12 more states.
• Oversee the firm's Paralegal Program across all departments
• Enhance operational effectiveness and promote professional growth
• Provide exceptional legal support for attorneys involved in transactional, compliance, and litigation cases
• Assist the Complex Tort Strategic Business Unit
• Manage large teams of paralegals engaged in high-volume litigation
• Keep abreast of trends in the legal industry and Complex Tort
• Lead and supervise paralegals while working in conjunction with leadership and cross-functional teams
• Create and refine processes and workflows
• Evaluate opportunities for integrating automation and AI tools within paralegal workflows
• Supervise the allocation of paralegal tasks and assist in hiring recommendations
• Coordinate paralegal departures, transitions, onboarding, meetings, and communications
• Develop training programs and oversee the paralegal mentoring initiative
• Aid in performance evaluations and compensation suggestions
• Provide ongoing feedback and ensure compliance with firm policies, legal standards, and ethical rules
• Track productivity, utilization, overtime, and compliance with time-entry
• Create and enhance reporting methods for performance metrics
• Recognize inefficiencies and introduce operational enhancements
• Bachelor's degree in legal studies, business administration, or a related field; or a combination of education and relevant work experience is required
• At least 5 years of management experience within legal or Complex Torts
• Minimum of 3 years as a Paralegal in corporate, regulatory, or Complex Tort litigation
• Strong judgment, organizational, and time-management abilities
• High degree of professional integrity and capacity to maintain confidentiality
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and communication skills
• Experience in performance management and policy enforcement
• High emotional intelligence, discretion, and sound judgment
• Proficient in project management tools and data analysis
• Collaborative mindset and ability to adapt to changing business needs
