Professional Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct professional development workshops designed to prepare transitioning service members for civilian careers, focusing on resumes, interview techniques, effective communication, and networking skills.

• Provide coaching to students on using LinkedIn and other professional networking platforms.

• Assist students in converting their military experience into relevant civilian professional profiles.

• Design and uphold a comprehensive career-readiness curriculum.

• Establish and nurture relationships with mentors, guest speakers, and partner organizations.

• Develop digital content that highlights program achievements and showcases student and alumni successes.

• Support the Career Placement Manager by refining resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and other essential career-readiness materials.

• Report directly to the SkillBridge Operations Director.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of three years of experience in teaching, training, coaching, professional development, or adult education.

• Proven experience working with active-duty service members, veterans, or military-connected individuals in a teaching or mentoring capacity.

• Ability to deliver engaging sessions and tailor content for a diverse group of adult learners.

• Proficient in teaching LinkedIn and professional networking strategies.

• Capability to produce clear and engaging presentations along with digital content.

• Must be organized and possess strong communication skills.

• Residency in the San Diego area with the ability to work on Pacific Time.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain access credentials and installation clearance for regular entry to a U.S. military installation.

• Must fulfill all relevant military installation eligibility criteria and security/access protocols.
